Copying Assignments to new sites

Hi

I am using Sakai 2.70 at Cornerstone Institute (funda.cornerstone.ac.za) and am battling to import assignments from one site to another site. I have changed a number of settings from publishing to unpublishing, dates recorded to no dates, live to unlive. I have only managed to import one assignment which is actually a survey. In all other instances I am unable to import an assignment. I have also tried it as an instructor as well as administrator, where I have created an assignment as an instructor as well as administrator. Is anyone able to provide insight into this issue please.

Grace and peace

Philip Donald

Re: Copying Assignments to new sites

The assignments should be imported OK, it has always worked for us  and we’ve never done anything special – they appear as draft assignments in the new site and don’t have dates set.  You must have the Assignments tool in the target site.

I must ask are you talking about the Assignments tool or Mneme (Tasks, tests and surveys)? I have never tried to import Mneme assignments?

Re: Copying Assignments to new sites

In reply to this post by Philip Donald
Estimada comunidad, buenas tardes!

correspondientes (tareas, comentarios, etc..)

dudas)

Aprovecho para saludarlos afectuosamente

Re: Copying Assignments to new sites

To save everyone the effort of translating, here is google's effort:

-----
Dear community, good afternoon!

First, apologies for not answering in English, and may also not have
While consultation interpreted.
If I have understood it is based on that you need to copy
activities generated with the tool TASKS (sakai.assignment.grades) to
elsewhere.
I can tell you in relation to requirements that had to help
resolve. We use SAKAI 2.8

There are two possible cases:
1) I only want to use the activity (and feedback from
students).
This is the simplest case, and that can be imported using IMPORT
Contents from the Site Information tool (sakai.siteinfo) in
where all that is required is that the user has permissions
enough in both places (origin-destination) as pe instructor.

2) The other case was raised, it was in addition to the tasks needed
recovering the feedback
This is more complicated, in fact could not be resolved directly but
raised as follows:
We used DOWNLOAD ALL option that appears in the Tasks tool in
which lowers the entire task information and feedback
corresponding (tasks, comments, etc. ..)
Then on the destination site, you should have added the same list of participants,
create a task and then use UP ALL option. That way spend a
job site to site recovering feedback.

I hope you understand, and apologize again for not posting in English, perhaps
someone can translate this (since I did not use a translator for the
questions)

Take this opportunity to greet them warmly
